I have some art work you don't have, can i send you a scan?  

YES! The fastest way to support me, is to send me 300dpi scans that i don't yet have, especially rare and expensive tapes, that are likely to take me years to source. OR, if you have seen a scan i have from the collection I've grown, but it's a bit tatty, or cropped, and you have a fresher looking scan,  support me by submitting your scan. 

 

I want to send you a scan, what's the easiest way to do it? 

IF you have a cheap scanner at home, you can set it to 300DPI, preview the scan in your scanner software and make sure the scanner (especially EPSON scanners) hasn't cropped the top/bottom/sides off the image. Apply some very light pressure to the top of the scanner lid, i used three vhs tapes, and place them on the part of the scanner lid where the spine of the artwork is, this will flatten it out a little and avoid big scan lines/reflections in the artworks at the sides of the spine. Once you have your scan, you can then email it to me via email, be sure to tell your email provider that you want to attach the original image and not a reduced sized, image. IF the image is reduced/compressed, you will lose the 300DPI quality and it won't be good enough to print in a glossy art book. 

 

That's it! You will then get a trophy here, with your fav Vipco title in the cup and your name in the book, if it is ever published, it will remain in the book. Want to send more than 1 sleeve art? With VIPCO, you will know, it's a game of knowing what was release, why and when. For me this is part of the charm of the company and one of the main reasons i felt this book would be better in the hands of people like us who want help, knowing what to find and buy. However, there are so many surprises in the Vipco vaults.
